영어로 자유롭게 말하기 - 2

 

초등학교 6학년의 경우 영어는 일주일에 두시간씩 들어있습니다. 나는 아이들에게 한 단원이나 두단원이 끝날때마다 지금까지 배운 문장들을 연결하여 자유롭게 말하는 기회를 주고 영어 실력을 평가하는 기회로 쓰고 있기도 합니다.

 

지금 여러분이 보시는 동영상은 제가 가르치는 반 아이 두명의 영어회화 발표모습입니다. 중소도시 아이들이라는 사실을 인지하시고 보시면 좋습니다. 아이들 영어이므로 약점을 잡으려면 한도 끝도 없습니다만 너그러운 마음으로 그냥 가볍게 보시기 바랍니다.

 

대본은 두명의 아이가 자유롭게 꾸민 것이고 아이들이 문서로 편집한 것입니다. 대화 내용 가운데 가게에서 음료수를 슬쩍해서 마시는 장면이 나오기도 해서 그렇긴 합니다만 재미있게 꾸민다고 한 것이니 양해하시기 바랍니다. 중소도시 아이들이긴 하지만 열심히 하는 모습이 그럴듯해서 올려봅니다.

Grace - Bonjourno!

Jane - Bonjour, Grace! This is Jane.

Grace - Oh, I see. What`s the matter?

Jane - Next Saturday we have a talent show. So we have to practice.

Grace - Oh, really? Okay. When shall we meet?

Jane - What about this Friday? Are you free on Friday?

Grace - Umm... No, Jane. on Friday, I have to go an academy. What

         about this Sunday?

Jane - OK. Let`s meet at 3 o`clock.

Grace - I see. See you then.

     일요일 오후 3시

Grace - Why does Jane late?

Jane - Hey, Grace~ I`m so sorry! I was so hungry, so I have to eat

        lunch. Sorry~

Grace - Oh, that`s okay.

Jane - Grace, I`m so thirsty. Can I have some drinks?

Grace - Oh, oh, yeah. But where?

Jane -Hmm... Look! There`s a store. Let`s go there.

Grace - Oh, OK.

     돈이 없는 Jane과 Grace. 음료수를 훔칠 계획을 세운다.

Grace - Jane, we can do it!

Jane - Yes, one, two, three!

Grace - Ah, Jane! We did it!

Jane - Yes, let`s drink!

Grace - Okay, uh oh...

     Grace의 Soda가 찢어졌다. 어쨌든 둘은 음료수를 마신다.

Jane & Grace - one, two, three! Golgolgol~(?)

Jane - Grace, what do you want to do for this talent show?

Grace - Well, I love dancing and I`m a good dancer. So, what about

         dancing like me?

     Grace가 잠시 춤을 춘다.

Jane - Oh, no, Grace! I really hate dancing. How about singing like me?

        I`m a good singer. La la la~

     Jane이 잠시 노래를 부른다.

Grace - No, let`s dancing!

Jane - No, let`s singing!

Grace - Dancing!

Jane - Singing!

Grace - Dance!

Jane - Sing!

Grace - ... Ha ha ha~ I won, Jane. Because you said dancing! Dance +

         sing. Dancing~

Jane - Oh, my god! Is it fun?

Grace - No!

Jane - Oops! I really hate dancing. What about this? Let`s sing and

        dance. OK?

Grace - No. Then let`s do hand wrestling.

Jane - Han, hand wrestling?

Grace - Yes.

Jane - Really?

Grace - Yes! Hmm!

     Grace가 팔에 힘을 주며 힘 센 척을 한다. 그와 반면 Jane은 팔을 웅크리고 약한 척을 하며 Grace를 두려워한다.

Grace - Ha ha ha! Let`s start.

Jane - OK. one, two, three!

     그런데 힘이 더 약한 줄 알았던 Jane이 괴력을 발휘해 Grace를 단번에 이긴다.

Grace - Oh, my god!

Jane - Ha ha ha! I`m stronger than you! So let`s sing.

Grace - Oh, okay. Let`s practice.

Jane - OK! Let`s go to my home.

     Jane이 Grace를 거의 끌고 가다시피 해서 함께 Jane의 집으로 간다. Jane의 집으로 온 Jane과 Grace는 음치 뺨치는 실력으로 열심히 노래를 부른다.

Jane & Grace - La la la~ Ha ha ha! We are good singers~ Hoo~
